Abby Leach

Abby first caught my eye as a possible minister for our wedding when I took the Power of Your Word; a class at the Center for Spiritual Awakening that she taught.  I observed first hand her fine-tuned ability to listen carefully, both to the people in the class, and to Spirit.  I appreciated as well her willingness to do things “outside the box” and to flex class plans as needed to fit the needs of the participants in the current moment.

When we first started creating the wedding ceremony, all I knew was that I wanted a ceremony that was very personal and deeply heart-connecting for all involved.

As Spirit gave me images and words to start the ceremony creation process, I would pass them on to Abby.  She would run with them, and send back to me what Spirit had imparted to her, our ideas continually building on each other, almost like we were different aspects of the same mind.  It was an amazing and delightful process.  I had been feeling kind of intimidated initially at the thought of trying to create a whole ceremony, words and all, from scratch, but with Spirit’s guidance and Abby and Luther’s support and helpful co-creation it became instead a deeply Spirit moving experience that flowed with ease and delight.

Our wedding day stands out in my mind as one of those rare, absolutely perfect days, in which the power, beauty and love of Spirit shined forth so brightly that everyone present was touched and in some indefinable way, forever changed. And Abby was very much at the center of co-creating that moment.

Luther and I really feel like Abby put her whole heart and soul into the process of creating this ceremony, and in carrying it out.

We would very highly recommend her to anyone wanting a unique, Spirit filled wedding.

Abby has provided Shamanic healing services for me in the areas of “Installing Power Bands” and “Cord Removal”. In both cases Abby’s calm, confident and heartfelt presence resulted in highly positive manifestations including a sense of forgiveness and peace around a long troublesome relationship which I now feel is healed. I didn’t know what to expect at the outset and sincerely believe that Abby’s work was pivotal in the positive results I experienced. I highly recommend Abby and I’m deeply grateful for her consciousness and skill.

I’ve had many experiences with Abby’s work – despacho ceremony and on-the-table sessions as well as prayer and meditation sessions. Abby is so open and so loving. In her presence I never feel judged, only cared for, always completely held. She is hugely skilled, but mostly she facilitates whatever needs to happen for me.

I feel safe being vulnerable and that’s the edge for me where I really grow and expand and find lasting and meaningful change and healing. I trust Abby completely in that process and have called on her for prayer more times than I can count. She always comes through, because it’s all moving through her in an inspired and beautiful way.

If you have a chance to work with Abby in any capacity, do it.

I have taken classes, attended a Shamanic workshop, and participated in full-moon fire ceremonies with Abby as the teacher and spiritual guide.  The one apparent commonality through all of these experiences was that Abby is a vessel through which Spirit works.  She is the bridge between earth, animal, and Spirit and provides each human with the path to connect to each of these worlds. 

Abby has opened my eyes to and facilitates within me a stronger sense of my connection with Spirit. Abby is a true emanation of Spirit; she is an open, vibrating portal through which Spirit reaches the people that she teaches or guides.

I feel blessed each time I work with Abby and look forward to many more of her teachings through ceremony, classes, and workshops.

I have been working with Abby for about three years.  My first experience with her was around prayer and meditation service she offered at the Center for Spiritual Awakening.

Abby and I both share a passion for Shamanism.  A few years ago I was trying to connect to Celtic Shamanism. I knew very little about Celtic Shamanism and I did not really trust myself to find a good teacher.  Abby told me she was a Peruvian Shamanic Practitioner and told me she could recommend Peruvian teachers.  At the time I was not interested in Peruvian Shamanism but wanted to pursue my own heritage of Celtic Shamanism.  So she set about doing some research and found me an excellent Celtic Shamanic teacher. This coming November I will be completing a two year course in Celtic Shamanism.  I am now also studying Peruvian Shamanism with Abby.  I have benefited greatly from working with Abby. She is an excellent teacher.

I have also observed her working with other students. She is kind and supportive but she is also resilient.  I have watched her in situations as she gently but determinately moved her students into a healthier frame of mind and away from some anxious thoughts that they were experiencing. She is a brilliant teacher and very much connected to Source. I would have no problem recommending her to my family and friends.

When we selected Abby to be our wedding minister, she had already become a good friend to me and was very supportive of what we both brought to the proposal.

On the other hand Abby and I had not discussed common in depth values, particularly our relationship with God. Abby made that easy for me.

Abby gave us a general outline and even gave us examples of what others had said at various times in other ceremonies. When I expressed my inner most feelings about what I wanted to be for Leigh in marriage, when I addressed our relationship with God, and when I expressed our intimate goals, Abby was able to weave all those facts and feelings into the wedding tapestry.

As the result of Abby’s orchestration, all those we invited had a life changing, uplifting experience, that we are still hearing about today, 3 months after the wedding.

Abby is a wonderful person and a great pastor.

PS Not only did she perform the wedding but she was fully aware of the healing group dynamics with those present and not present.

Abby supported David and I to create an amazing and powerful ceremony for our wedding, a ceremony that reflected our individuality, as individuals and as a couple, held within a powerful ceremony that was inclusive of the spiritual traditions most meaningful to us.  All of our loved ones who witnessed our marriage ceremony also found it heart-opening, inspiring, and very personal.  Abby is a powerful prayer practitioner, medicine woman and minister… Divine Presence was palpable in the physical atmosphere and in every heart.  It was very special to feel that a ceremony so thoughtfully constructed and elegantly presented could also be filled with the warmth, joy and spontaneity from every person present! 

If you ever get the chance to attend one of Abby’s ceremonies or classes, I’d highly recommend it. If you go with an open mind, your heart will instantly recognize Abby as an old friend. She is as gloriously human and complex as the rest of us, yet she’s able to step outside of that during her ceremonies. The full moon fire ceremonies she holds are akin to standing in the presence of pure love. Abby creates a safe environment where you can rid yourself of worries, remember who you are and then she beckons you towards the sweet magic of simply being, one with nature, one with each other. Her fires are powerful experiences of reconnection and healing food for the soul. Abby led my family through beautiful welcome ceremonies shortly after each of my sons were born. It was so special to be able to state my intentions and commitments as a parent to my boys. She helped us honor the miracle of new life. The energy and love I felt during both ceremonies can only be described as this, I felt “heard.” I will cherish the sacred memories of those ceremonies in my heart forever. Abby is so clearly in her element as a Shaman. I am and I know many others will be so grateful she’s answered her call to follow such a spiritual path.

Abby has been my counselor for many years. She has helped me through counseling and prayer work to adjust to numerous life challenges including the death of my husband, job challenges/transitions, family relationship issues, and most recently, the beginning of a new relationship.  I have also experienced Abby’s work as a Science of Mind practitioner.

Abby’s wisdom and guidance are the most meaningful to me.  She listens patiently and always offers just the right amount of insight given the situation at hand.  It is most helpful to share a common spiritual perspective and I value her insights from Science of Mind philosophy as well as her general outlook on spirituality.

Abby’s wisdom and guidance helps me see whatever I’m dealing with from a different and larger perspective.  She helps me stay centered in my awareness of Spirit.  She gives me the courage to explore painful life experiences and the strength to forge ahead.  She also helps me remember to seek balance in my sometimes chaotic life.

Abby has helped me negotiate life’s joys and sorrows.  She serves as a trusted advisor who understands my past, helps me stay present for the ‘now’ and supports my quest to achieve desired goals.

I recommend her wholeheartedly – and have done so to friends many times over the years.

Abby also has a wonderful sense of humor.  I learn by example from her as she shares stories of her travels and training with other spiritual leaders.  My world is larger as a result.

Abby has gently helped me to move forward in my personal and spiritual life. She’s taught me the power of affirmative prayer and has helped me to define and understand my spirituality in a new context. Through Abby’s guidance and support I know that my life is totally changed. Thank you Abby - from the bottom of my heart and soul, for your love and support and all your thoughts, words and actions that have helped me so much. You are a beautiful spirit shining for all of us to see - prayer really works! 

Just before we began a major remodel Abby came to our home to bless the project and hold a space for creativity and calm.  And indeed we were blessed with both.

After our project was finished Abby returned and using prayer and sacred herbs Abby blessed our newly remodeled home holding the space for spirit and nurturing love to be present, and so it is. Thank you Abby.

I have known Abby Leach as a peer and as a friend for several years.  I have also known her as my student and my teacher.
